Sunday Quick Draw
St Benet's Abbey
CANCELLED DUE TO THE WEATHER
Unfortunately the weather has beaten us and we feel it won't be safe for artists to be at St Benet's in the forecast thunderstorm. They will be painting in a private garden on Womack Water in Ludham and the paintings produced will be on display at Hall Farm Cottages Horning NR12 8NJ from 3pm to 5pm.
Founded 1000 years ago this year there is a lot going on at St Benet's Abbey in 2019.
The only English Monestery not dissolved by Henry VIII, the Bishop of Norwich still holds an annual service here on the first Sunday in August.
Surrounded by the rivers Ant, Bure and Thurne the views are spectacular for 360°.
An inspiring place painted by the members of the Norwich school and Edward Seago who lived in nearby Ludham.
What is the Quick Draw?
A Quick draw is not just about pencils and drawing.
The Artists taking part have to be quick on the draw with their brushes to paint a masterpiece in a set 2 hours.
